How to push past those mid year blues

Now that we’re into the second half of the year, you may be starting to wane in energy, motivation, and enthusiasm when it comes to running your business – and maybe even life in general.

I know I am.

Sometimes, planning a break to relax and recharge can reset your drive. Only thing is, staying focused on getting work done before you leave can be a challenge.

My holiday is just 2 weeks away and for the first time in a long time, I am really looking forward to the break. Normally, I don’t get into the holiday mode until I am on my way. But this time around, it’s all I can think about!

Stay on track with these 3 tips

At times like this, I need strategies to keep me alert and motivated. Perhaps you do too, so I wanted to share 3 that work for me:

  1. Be Present. It’s hard to stay present when there is so much going on. Consciously choosing to only focus on what is in front of me at one time takes discipline. It allows me a freedom of shedding the unwanted stories going on in my head, and then the time flies!
  2. Set myself up to win. My goal list is short and attainable in any day or week. This brings a sense of achievement that motivates me on to the next task. I also create the space to celebrate the wins, which keeps me on a high.
  3. Breathe and then choose another way to BE. As things are starting to build up and feel overwhelming – which always happens when I’m tired – I breathe for four deep breaths and then decide how I would like to feel. Looking at the world through a different lens after clearing the mind and body with breath always gets me back on track quickly.

What do you do to keep motivated and calm when you are feeling exhausted – and cranky with everyone?

Why not share your strategies in the Facebook group. We could all use some extra motivation at this time of year and your tips may help another member to push through to reach their year-end goals.

New members bring new motivation

Some amazing women joined us at our Visitor Experience sessions in the last month and we’re thrilled to welcome them to our She Business community.

The enthusiasm these awesome women bring will also help boost any flagging energy. So look out for their welcome posts in the Facebook group and say hello.

Being surrounded by our strong, connected group of women also keeps me motivated at this time of year.

Have a productive week!

Regards,
